RASLAG Corp’s third venture sits at 12.8-hectare property of Barangay Bical, Mabalacat and Brgy. San Jose, Magalang, Pampanga that once completed, will double its solar portfolio of the to 41.198 MWp and is expected to be operational by first quarter of 2022.

With the attractive global solar photovoltaic cost and more efficient technological design, the most updated technological advancement of solar panels was chosen with rating of 540/545 Wp comprises the 18.011MWp, half of each rated panels. Almost halving the cost-per-MW of RASLAG 1 and RASLAG 2, and requiring half of the land-per-MW was what made RASLAG proceed to such project with lower offtake tariffs compared to RASLAG 1 and 2’s Feed-in-Tariff scheme, but with similar attractive returns.

Upon completion, RASLAG-3, generation will initially be offered to the WESM as a merchant plant to capitalize on high WESM-average prices trend, but eventually bid its generation to distribution utilities and electric cooperatives for their Renewable Portfolio Standard’s (RPS) compliance, and the Green Energy Auction Program. Aside from RASLAG’s intention to make a positive impact towards the health of our natural habitat, the construction of RASLAG-3 opened almost hundreds of jobs for local employment.

RASLAG III at night

RASLAG III will soon offer its generation from peak hours from the bright rays of the sun and will show its compelling beauty at nighttime when the moon substitutes the sun.
